Plover: Steering GUI Agents through Plan-Centric Interaction

Madhumitha Venkatesan, Shicheng Wen, Jiajing Guo, Jorge Piazentin Ono, Liu Ren, Dongyu Liu

Graphical user interface (GUI) automation remains challenging in real-world environments, where dynamic layouts, unexpected dialogs, and evolving interface states can cause autonomous agents to drift from user intent. Recent vision-based multimodal agents improve flexibility by operating directly over screenshots and natural language instructions, but planning and adaptation often remain internal, limiting users' ability to inspect, supervise, or correct system behavior. We present Plover, a plan-centric vision-based GUI automation system that externalizes task plans and replanning as persistent, inspectable, and revisable artifacts. Through a planner--executor architecture, Plover supports explicit supervision of evolving execution, localized correction through editable plans, natural-language guidance, and screenshot-grounded interventions, while preserving prior progress during repair. A formative study with six participants informed the interaction design. We then evaluate Plover through benchmark failure-case repair and scenario-based workflow analyses. Our results show that many autonomous GUI-agent failures are structurally repairable when plans remain visible and interventions are localized, and that explicit replanning helps make GUI automation more transparent, controllable, and adaptable.

MAGA: Multi-Platform Self-Fusion of GUI Agents via Structured Action Distillation

Hang Yan, Zhangxuan GU, Beitong Zhou, Jiaxuan Chen, Runze Li, Yusong Hu, et al.

Graphical user interface (GUI) agents based on large language models are increasingly deployed across mobile, web, and desktop environments. However, existing agents are typically domain-specific, limiting the deployment and user experience. This motivates the consolidation of sp…

ICAE-Bench: Evaluating Coding Agents as Interactive Project Builders

Zhongyuan Peng, Dan Huang, Chuyu Zhang, Caijun Xu, Changyi Xiao, Shibo Hong, et al.

The recent emergence of vibe-coding workflows is changing what coding agents are expected to do. Instead of merely completing code under fully specified instructions, agents are increasingly expected to transform incomplete product intent into working software by combining variou…

Compact Latent Coordination for Autonomous Vehicles at Unsignalized Intersections

Gil Lifshits, Igal Bilik, Gilad Katz

Coordinating autonomous vehicles at unsignalized intersections remains a critical challenge for multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) systems, which typically struggle with combinatorial action spaces, reliance on privileged information, or rigid agent designs. We propose Mas…

OpenForgeRL: Train Harness-native Agents in Any Environment

Xiao Yu, Baolin Peng, Ruize Xu, Hao Zou, Qianhui Wu, Hao Cheng, et al.

Modern AI agents rely on elaborate inference harnesses such as Claude Code, Codex, and OpenClaw to drive multi-turn reasoning, tool use, and access to external systems. While powerful, these complex harnesses also make agents hard to train end-to-end with open infrastructure, who…

Beyond Component Testing: Validating Agentic AI Systems

Fabio Orazio Mirto, Luca D'Agati, Giuseppe Tricomi, Stefano Silvestri, Francesco Longo, Antonio Puliafito, et al.

Agentic AI systems act through multi-step trajectories that combine planning, tool use, memory, interaction, and adaptation. This behavior stretches validation practice beyond component testing and one-shot input--output evaluation, because acceptable system behavior now depends…
