Class-agnostic 3D instance segmentation is critical for robotic systems operating in unknown environments, enabling perception of previously unseen objects for reliable manipulation and navigation. Existing approaches typically project per-frame 2D instance masks into 3D and merge them, which often breaks object identities across time and yields fragmented 3D instances. We introduce Cross-Dimensional Class-Agnostic 3D Instance Segmentation (CDIS), a zero-shot framework that explicitly tracks 2D instance masks across frames and associates them with 3D superpoints, creating a feedback loop between 2D and 3D. This cross-dimensional reasoning links temporally stable 2D tracks with spatially coherent 3D regions, producing globally consistent 3D instance labels without any 3D-specific training. Experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that CDIS achieves higher accuracy and consistency than state-of-the-art zero-shot methods, while remaining efficient and scalable to diverse real-world environments.
Virtual try-on (VTO) has made significant progress in realistically transferring garments onto a target person. Yet most systems give the user little control over how a garment should be worn -- its size (loose or fitted), style (e.g., tucked in or untucked, open or closed), and…
Comparing transformer backbones for image segmentation is confounded: each is paired with a different decoder, recipe, and pretraining, so reported differences rarely reflect the backbone itself. We introduce the Lightweight Universal Mask Adapter (LUMA), a lightweight, backbone-…
Vascular computed tomography datasets are commonly annotated only once per scan, yielding the pervasive yet under addressed problem of single mask annotation noise. Existing solutions either require costly multirater fusion or are coupled with network training, preventing explici…
3D scene inpainting is essential for reconstructing areas corrupted by occlusions or limited viewpoints. While recent methods leverage Gaussian Splatting (GS) for efficient 3D editing, they often depend on precise multi-view segmentation masks and are inherently constrained to ob…
Robust out-of-the-box performance is essential for the clinical deployment of deep learning models in medical imaging. An important but underexplored factor affecting model generalisability is intensity normalisation, particularly for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), where image…
Interactive 3D segmentation aims to extract object masks in point clouds with minimal user clicks. Despite recent progress, most existing approaches still struggle with (i) coarse voxel resolution that blurs fine boundaries under limited clicks and (ii) hard false positives cause…
