Training-free Controllable Human Motion Generation under Heterogeneous Constraints

Xiaofei Hui, Bo Yan, Haoxuan Qu, Hossein Rahmani, Jun Liu

Training-free controllable motion generation has attracted growing interest for enabling flexible constraint enforcement without constraint-specific training. However, existing training-free methods require constraints to be continuous objective-based with differentiable losses, while many real-world requirements are criterion-based and provide only discontinuous, sparse, or even black-box feedback. In this paper, we propose Motion-Inference-as-Control (MIC), the first training-free motion generation framework that handles both continuous objective-based and criterion-based motion constraints under a shared mechanism. The key idea is to cast diffusion-based motion generation as a stochastic control problem. This perspective not only provides principled and practically effective step-wise control laws that support criterion-based constraints without requiring differentiability and naturally accommodate objective-based constraints as a special case, but also motivates a control-oriented constraint coordination mechanism that adaptively balances and reconciles motion constraints during generation. Experiments across diverse constraint settings demonstrate the effectiveness of our framework.

REBASE: Reference-Background Subspace Elimination for Training-Free In-Context Segmentation

Mantha Sai Gopal, Jaison Saji Chacko, Harsh Nandwana, Sandesh Hegde, Debarshi Banerjee, Uma Mahesh

Training-free in-context segmentation enables new object categories to be introduced at inference time from a single annotated reference image, eliminating the retraining and memory overhead of class-incremental learning. Recent approaches achieve this by combining vision foundat…

Harnessing Generative Image Models for Training-Free Primitive Shape Abstraction

Gregor Kobsik, Tim Elsner, Leif Kobbelt

Representing 3D shapes as compact sets of geometric primitives is fundamental to robotics, simulation, and scene understanding. Generative image models trained at scale have recently emerged as generalist visual learners that can identify and segment object parts directly in the…

Representation and Reference Selection in Training-Free Synthetic Image Attribution

Meiling Li, Pietro Bongini, Benedetta Tondi, Mauro Barni

Synthetic image attribution aims at identifying the generator responsible for a given AI-generated image. Training-free reference-based attribution methods are easily scalable, since newly emerging generators can be incorporated by adding source-specific references rather than re…

GFR-SAM: Training-Free Referring Camouflaged Object Segmentation via Cross-Image Prompting

Yilong Yang, Jianxin Tian, Shengchuan Zhang, Liujuan Cao

Referring Camouflaged Object Detection (Ref-COD) requires segmenting hidden targets guided by reference cues. While supervised methods are annotation-heavy and training-free approaches via sparse point-prompting are sensitive to localization errors, we propose GFR-SAM, a robust t…

CoBind: Stage-Aware Compositional Binding for Training-Free Text-to-Image Generation

Kaijie Chen, Ethan Caldwell, Mira Vossen, Julian Hartwell, Serena Whitlock, Adrian Bellamy

Diffusion-based text-to-image models often fail on complex prompts involving multiple entities, attributes, and relations, producing object omissions, incorrect attribute assignments, or reversed spatial layouts. Existing training-free methods mainly strengthen token-level attent…

ProxyUp: Training-Free Proxy-Conditioned Video Generation for Controllable Dynamics

Zanwei Zhou, Jiazhong Cen, Jiemin Fang, Yumeng He, Chen Yang, Sikuang Li, et al.

Precise control over complex dynamics remains challenging for modern video generative models, as text prompts alone often cannot specify physically plausible, fine-grained motion and interactions. We introduce $\textit{proxy-conditioned video generation}$, where a coarse proxy vi…
